Place your vote for the option you would most like to see. The winner will be implemented while the next vote takes place. This vote will run for 2 weeks.

Quests - will allow for two kinds of quests: collection (collect an item and bring it to an NPC) and killing (kill a specific NPC)

Pets - will allow you to summon a pet via a spell which you can command

Secondary skill set - woodcutting, farming, mining, foraging, etc.

Free trials - set amount of time per week to playtest your MUD

Team Members - allow the main account holder to add members to their team, and let them work on sections of the MUD

Mudmaker selected 5 items from the list of suggestions. We chose the items that seemed to draw the most interest. You can see a list of all current suggestions here http://www.mudmaker.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2

Hey everyone,

Just so you guys know about teamwork. If it does not get voted in, you can still have your friends help you with the creation of your MUD. If you set someone up to be the spell maker for example, just give them the different fields that they are going to have to type out, and then they can make all of the text. Maybe print them out a copy of what the online form looks like, and then they can automate that with WORD or whatever.

Nah, it is easy. Just [printScreen] the page, or type out yourself the fields required, and then e-mail those requirements to them. For example: Tell them for a spell design you need Mana cost, spell damage, spell message to caster on success/fail, etc, etc. Then once they type out every field (maybe if you are familiar with MS Word, you can type up a table for them with all of the required fields, and then they can just fill out the table for each spell) and have them mail it to you.

Then you'd just have to cut and paste the info into the right fields. It isn't the best solution, but it works.

I think the teamwork is a great idea, but I believe the free trial is more important (even though I went ahead and took the chance on subscribing before any are available). I'm glad I did so, very please with the product thus far. However, I feel alot of people won't even give MudMaker a chance without a trial.

Beyond that, I'm more intrested in seeing more time put into actual MUD development systems. As was stated, if we need help, all the fields can be provided via an alternative method, but if the MUD system doesn't support a feature we all want, some of our ideas are on hold.

Thinking about this now, if this seems to be an issue for folks, I would be more than happy to create an MS Access database with forms to match this site builder. This way anyone who needs it could utilize it to allow friends to help out, and then just use the database contents to paste into the forms here on the site.

If it turns out anyone's intrested or in need of the database, let me know and I'll spend some time this week to throw one together. After all it's in all of our best intrests for MudMaker to be a great success. Smile

Thanks

Free trials it is! While we implement this, please cast your votes for the next upgrade. The poll will launch today (March, 27th 2006) and will run for at least one week, or until the free trial system is in place.
